I beat Mike tonight in mini golf...once again. ;) It seems I have claimed the mini golf crown and have decided to keep it! Maybe one day I'll let him win... ;)

Also! We finally watched Descendants 2 tonight!! Call me a nerd, but I have been super excited to see this ever since I heard they were making a second movie. Once again, it was super cute. :) The songs didn't seem as catchy as the ones from the first, but I figure after a few listens I'll grow just as fond of them.

White Lake Vacation: Day 8

We left the lake this morning. :( The morning sun was reflecting all pretty off the calm water as we packed up the car...it was so pretty! It was definitely sad to be leaving, but I was looking forward to being home. I missed our place!!

We left earlier than everyone else (at 8AM) and caught no traffic on the drive back which was awesome. We dropped off some things at my parent's house before finally heading home to our own place. It was such a relief to be back! We spent the afternoon watching all the old Planet Of The Apes movies, which were incredibly corny but very entertaining. It was nice having all evening to just relax and unwind after the trip. I'm super glad tomorrow is Sunday and not Monday—that means more time to kick back before work starts back up!

White Lake Vacation: Day 7

Today was very eventful! We started the day off at the beach, but of course. Mom and Sue had rented the boat for tubing and skiing, so the boys and I made our way down the beach towards the dock as it neared time for our session. So many of us ended up tubing, which was great! I went with Mike, and our boat driver Pat totally whipped us around like crazy! I held on the whole time, but I slipped just towards the end and fell off just once. :P Pat said he was impressed how long I lasted! Out of everyone else who went, most people fell two or even three times!

After tubing we all dried off and got ready for dinner. Friday is the Fish Fry! We all headed down when it was time for our reservation. We ended up having three huge tables of people! It was really nice getting everyone together one last time before we leave tomorrow. These people are like family to me, after all!

After dinner, some of us wanted to take some more pictures by our cabins. Sue, Becky, Harlee, James, and Frito got cute pictures by their cabin (Shoreview 1), while mom, Mike, Mitch, Jax, Zack, Kevin, Rory, Jake, and I got our photo in front of our cabin (Rancho).

We spent the rest of the evening just hanging out together, chatting by the dock/beach. Jax and I got some one-on-one time to hang out for awhile and I really enjoyed that. :) I love spending time with that kiddo!

Mike and I also made sure to go sign the signature wall in the game room! We stupidly forgot the sharpie this year. :P It was really sweet getting to see all three of our signatures from the last three years up on that wall!

White Lake Vacation: Day 6

The weather was so gorgeous today! After all the gloomy clouds and rain, we were all very glad to see the sun again. We spent all most of the day outside at the beach swimming. Hopefully I got some sun. ;)

In the evening the boys grilled burgers and hot dogs. Sue also made her famous chip dip. It was a great meal. :)

White Lake Vacation: Day 5

It was rainy this afternoon and even a little chilly, so we didn't get any time in the water today. :( Mike and I spent a lot of the day finishing up his science homework and now he's finally done for the summer!!

A bunch of the boys wanted to see a movie in town, so we loaded everyone up in my mom's van and headed for the theater. We saw War For The Planet Of The Apes, which was super action-packed. Despite a few plot holes, everyone really enjoyed the film.

The evening was pretty low key. We all just hung out in our cabins, chatting and playing games. Although the weather stunk, it was nice getting this quality time to spend together with everyone.

    White Lake Vacation: Day 4

Tonight was a bunch of fun! We all chipped in some money and bought a whole bunch of credits for the punching machine game. The boys (and some of us girls!) all had a blast trying to best each other and get a higher score. Harlee and I were the DJs and kept playing all kinds of fun oldies music...which of course we shamelessly belted out all the words to. :)

Today was also my parent's 25th Anniversary! :D

You two are the parents that all kids hope to have. You are the couple that all others hope to be. You are the pillars of support that every family wishes it had. I consider myself so lucky to have such loving, selfless, faithful, supportive parents. It's been twenty-five years of marriage, but thirty-two years together—not many kids can say their parents were together since high school!! πŸ’ Happy 25th Anniversary to the best parents on this planet!! πŸ€΅πŸΌπŸ‘°πŸΌ I love you both so much!!

White Lake Vacation: Day 3

Today was the day we all always eagerly anticipate: pontoon day! On this day, we rent two pontoons and take everybody out to the sandbar to swim and hang out. We loaded up the boats with all kinds of food and snacks before making the trek out there. Everyone instantly started hopping into the water with floaties, or making sandwiches with the lunchmeat we brought. The boys started tossing a frisbee around, and eventually it turned into a game to see who could catch it while jumping off the boat. It was a really fun, but relaxing, day. We spent about three or four hours out there on the water and I honestly wish it could've been longer!!

In the evening it was all fun and games again. Jax, Mike, and I found the resort's cat strolling around so we spent awhile giving him all kinds of petting and loving. :) He loved Mike so much that he even let Mike pick him up!

White Lake Vacation: Day 2

Today was the first full day at the lake! I think everyone was excited about our first day away from reality, because nearly everyone slept in pretty late. Breakfast was a feast of eggs, toast, and bacon. In the afternoon, some of us swam while other just enjoyed the sun and played games like bags. In the evening, some of the boys went fishing off the dock. I enjoyed gazing at the beautiful sunset. :)

After it got dark, everyone came together to hang out. The boys had a lot of fun playing the punching machine game for a long while. I got to chat for a bit with Jax and Zack's friend Andrew, which was nice. Overall it was a great first day with friends!
