Typically we’ve been taking a mini trip out-of-state each year for our anniversary, but with all the exciting (but busy) things going on right now with moving in and baby prep we didn’t think we had the time. However I happened upon these amazing, all-inclusive suites at Sybaris (thanks Tik Tok!) and decided to surprise my husband with a little weekend getaway to our own little (in-state!) slice of paradise! 🌴🥂💕

We have a luxury two-story private suite complete with a heated pool, attached hot tub, tropical waterfall, bedroom loft with a slide, misting steamroom, massage chairs, whirlpool tub, cozy fireplace, and private garage. (I feel like it goes without saying, but just in case: I am *not* using the hot tub or steamroom while 6 months pregnant. 😛) It’s so surreal having what really felt like our very own private tropical oasis all to ourselves! Not to mention, it’s not often you get to go swimming in a 92 degree pool in the middle of Illinois’ November! 😉

After enjoying all the amenities this afternoon, we had a delicious dinner at this restaurant nearby, Allgauer’s. Now we’re just enjoying the evening by the pool before we’ll have a movie night. 🥰
