Saturday proved to be another nice, relaxing, take-the-day-at-your-own-pace kinda day. This week was busy, getting back into the swing of work and such after the holidays, so it was nice to have the day to take things at a slower pace.
I caught up on some much needed sleep, which was definitely nice because I've definitely been very sick and sniffily lately. When I finally got out of bed, I felt like I had much more energy to tackle the day with.
After getting some food we headed to Kohl's and Target for this and that. Since Mike's birthday is on Wednesday, I told him to pick out some things he wanted from Kohl's for me to buy for him. He ended up with a lot of great stuff! New shoes (Converse, his favorite!), some shirts, PJ pants, and this awesome Blackhawks windbreaker jacket. He was so excited about it, he pulled the tags off the second we were out of the store and wore it around everywhere we went for the rest of the night. It definitely made me smile.
I love spoiling my sweetheart. He does so much for me on a daily basis—I am always super happy at any opportunity I get to return the favor. We have a very give-give relationship...both of us are constantly thinking and doing for the other. It's really genuine and sincere and pure; I really love that aspect about us. We truly are always on one another's minds.
Alright, enough mushy-gushy stuff for now. ;) I can't say it enough, but I am seriously loving everything about this year so far. Not to say that last year wasn't great too—I'm very thankful for all the blessings God supplied me with throughout those 366 days. But this year is just even better...already! I feel so humbled and blessed and thankful for all the happiness and opportunities He is putting in my path so far this year.
