Disney Vacation: Day 6 (Visiting Angie 🗿 / Sawgrass Mills 🛍 / Pompano Beach 🌊)
With four days at Disney and four days at Universal Studios, we were still left with one free day to use as we pleased. Today was extra special because we decided to use our day to drive a few hours south to meet up with my best friend Angelia! I literally haven't seen her in person since we were in 3rd grade, but we have kept contact ever since and still remain the closest of friends. It was an absolute dream come true to finally be reunited after so long! I was so overjoyed when she opened the door that I wrapped her up in the biggest hug ever. :)
Ang took us to a nearby mall by her house where we had fun shopping around, getting ice cream, and just enjoying each other's company. :) There was a cute little arcade attached to the mall, so we also stopped there to play some games!

After the mall, we grabbed some food and headed for the beach! One of Mike's biggest wishes for this trip was to see the beach at least once. I didn't think we'd be able to squeeze it in, but alas we were able to! ;) It was a little cool today so we didn't go swimming, but we enjoyed walking around in the sand and the shallows.
As the sun started to go down, we headed for one last stop: an outdoor mall near Ang's house. We had some tasty burgers, shopped around some more, and marveled at the gorgeous lights hanging everywhere.
It was getting late and we had a bit of a drive ahead of us, so we begrudgingly brought Ang back home and said our goodbyes. We hugged tightly...and made promises to not wait almost ten years to get together in person again. Ang had adorable gifts to send us home with: two custom-made Mickey and Minnie bags stuffed full of goodies and snacks! I was so touched I almost cried. As we drove back to our hotel, my heart was so happy. It was such a good day.
