Mike installed lights in the crawlspace closet

Working on the frame for the second window.

Lost Charlie in the basement today. Couldn't find her anywhere! 😂

Day 17: Started working on the opening in the center of the ceiling. We put up plywood (that my dad painted to match the walls) to use as the base.

One side was flat while the other was angled upward to create depth.

Mike built a frame for the window, I stained it, then he installed it.

LED lights were stapled to the plywood, and then cargo nets were put up over them. Thus creating a "jungle canopy with stars shining through".

Foliage was stapled up to further create the "jungle canopy" look.

Day 4: I have been to Menards more times than I thought possible. Considering moving in.

Drilled holes into the framing so Mike can run the electric. I end the day covered head to toe in sawdust and wood pieces.

Company comes to visit my little box home.

Half of the ceiling is now framed.

Saturday's are nice because we get to work all day! We finished putting up all the drywall on the walls & ran most of the electric!

Celebratory selfie for a job well-done today! :)

Day 3: Framed the entire remainder of the walls. Also framed the box to cover the sump pump. I have officially moved in to my new "house". 😉

Day 2: Framed half of the second wall. Also built a third of the ladder that will be used to cover the steel rafter on the ceiling.

Also framed a quarter of the ceiling.

Insulated the portion we had framed.

Finished the day strong by putting up the drywall. Also had time to put drywall over the rafter.
