Hayward Vacation: Day 3

It was unfortunately time to leave today. :( After saying goodbye to the Kammer's, Marscau's, and Donelson's, we decided to stick around the area a bit longer to check out a few more sights. Our first stop was the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum, home to the giant muskie statue. You could actually walk up into the muskie and look out from the opening in his mouth!

After that, we visited the Wilderness Walk Zoo. Wow, it was so cool! While walking around checking out all the animals, you could have a buck or goat or rooster or whatever suddenly come strolling past you...outside from their cages! Such a unique experience. We definitely had a blast exploring the place!

Hayward Vacation: Day 2

We started off the day boarding Jeff's boat and taking a cruise out onto the lake! The group consisted of Jeff, Laura K, Laura D, Rachael, Peter, Michael, and myself.

Peter was being a bit of a grouch at first, but he came around and started to have fun with everyone! He and I sat together for a long while and watched all the birds flying around.

He also enjoyed making silly faces with me! Kinda hard to stay grumpy when you're making all kinds of goofy faces. :)

Chris and Mike Sr spent most of the afternoon fishing. We passed their boat a few times.

Eventually Peter started to get cranky again, so we headed back for shore. It was time for lunch! We decided to head into town after that. The Marsceau's stayed back since Peter was due for a nap. We walked all over the cute little town, browsing shops and having a good time together. We got some ice cream and also checked out this little candy shop where we filled up a bag of goodies.

Back at the Kammer's we had some fun playing with Peter down in the basement for awhile. They have a little trampoline that the Kammer kids play with when they visit—Peter just loved it. He bounced and fell and rolled and just wouldn't stop laughing.

Later in the evening we all (minus the Marsceau's) headed out for dinner at this place across the lake. It was warmer out so we got to eat outside too! After dinner, Mike and I went back into town to go catch a movie at the theater. We saw The Legend Of Tarzan and it was really good! We then headed back to the Kammer cabin where we watched a movie before heading to bed.

Hayward Vacation: Day 1

Today we set off to visit Mike's Aunt Laura and Uncle Jeff up at their cabin in Hayward, Wisconsin! This was my first time getting to go, so I was excited. :) We made it 4.5 hours before needing to stop for an ice cream pick-me-up at DQ.

Oh, and we also took a cool photo with this giant rooster statue.
