Today Mike installed all the shelves in our walk-in closet! Just look at all that hanging space!! I made a trip to the apartment and picked up ALL of our clothes, which I then started to hang up in said closet. :)

• Mom came over in the afternoon to paint the upstairs hallway.
• In the evening, Mike and I painted our master bedroom closet.

March 26th, 2018

Both Mike and I are completely sick now, so only three updates today:

• The Xfinity guy stopped by this morning to set up our Internet, Cable, and our new home security system! Mike is such a sweetheart...only the best for us and our new home. :)
• After work, David helped Mike move our entertainment center up into the loft for us (and then Mike set up our TV).
• Mom came by and painted the last coat in the master bedroom for us!

March 25th, 2018

More work was done today, but of course:

• Mike bought us (and installed) a new fancy lock for our front door!
• Mitch showed up at 8AM to help Mike install the flooring for the downstairs bathroom/walkway, as well as our new Toto toilet!
• Mitch and Mike also installed our new bedroom fan in the master bedroom (plus the faceplates, vents, etc).
• Later in the afternoon, mom came over with Jax and they painted the downstairs bathroom.
• I was feeling rather sick again, but I did manage to make a trip to the apartment to bring more of our stuff over.

March 24th, 2018

Pre-Cana was today! We got our certificate! :D

While we were away for most of the morning/afternoon, my wonderful parents came over to work on things for us! Once we got back, of course we jumped straight into helping too.



A lot of stuff got done today! (Although I neglected to take many photos...) Here's what everyone accomplished:

• Kitchen floor = 100% installed.
• 2nd bedroom (aka the art room) is painted.
• The master bedroom's annex is painted.
• The master bedroom has one coat of paint done.
• All of the carpeting in the entire house has been thoroughly vacuumed.
• The downstairs flooring has been thoroughly washed.

All in all, a super productive day! We are so thankful for my amazing parents and all the help they are giving us!

We officially became homeowners!! 🏡

You are officially looking at two new homeowners!! 😍🏡💕 It has been a long and many times stressful process, but it all paid off in the end today when we were handed the keys to OUR NEW HOUSE! It feels so amazing to be able to look at that beautiful two-story structure and say, “I OWN that!!” We are so very excited to begin making memories in our new home. ❤️

We got hard at work right away, naturally! Mike installed 95% of the new kitchen floor and as well as our new dishwasher. Meanwhile, I cleaned the entire banister on the stairs/hallway as well as most of the windows in the house!

So today we went to IKEA to get some things for the house (since we close TOMORROW!!!). We also got some yummy Swedish meatballs for dinner. ;) Afterward we went to Floor & Decor to pick out the new flooring for the kitchen!

Basically brand new stainless steel dishwasher...which we got for $200!!! What a deal!!!

March 20th, 2018

So tonight the whole Donelson-Marsceau clan headed to the Hawks game! :) Mike Sr so sweetly got us all tickets for a fun family night together!

It was Peter's very first Hawks game! He did so well despite being stuck in a boring chair for three-ish hours! ;)

The coolest part about tonight was getting to see Mike's little cousin Kolten out on the ice! He won a raffle and got to skate out beside the Hawks players during the national anthem! Before the game he got to see the ice and even the locker room. So cool. :)

Madisyn also got to skate tonight! Kolten and Madisyn's hockey team was chosen for the relay race during the second period break. Their team lost by a hair, but they still did amazing! It was honestly just so surreal to see some cute kids that you actually know down there on the ice!!

Laura and Jeff came to see their grandkids skate, so we got to visit with Laura a bit! It was so nice to catch up since we haven't seen them since Christmas!



Overall, it was a really nice time with my favorite people. :)

Even though the Hawks didn’t win, they came real close and (for once) played an amazing game! I was honestly hoping for a shootout, but getting to watch OT was almost as good. 😊 I loved getting to see DeBrincat’s hat trick in person!! Also, it was really cool being at the United Center while the end of season sale was happening—we got THREE hats for $37!!!! 😱 One thing is pretty clear though: WE NEED COREY BACK ASAP! It was pretty strange not wearing my usual Crawford jersey to last night’s game, not gonna lie. 😬 (I rocked my Hjalmarsson jersey bc, let’s be honest, those were better days. 😂👌🏼) Anyways, overall it was a great game to attend and such a fun evening with my sweetheart! Thanks again to my favoritest cousin Jon for such an extremely thoughtful (and arguably the best 😉) engagement present! ❤️❤️

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! 🍀💚

We enjoyed a carefree Saturday together picking out paint colors for our new home, grabbing dessert at DQ, playing Fortnite with Jax, getting dinner with my dad & Jax, and then heading back to their house where the four of us watched a movie. 😊 Thankful for the “simple” days, not always having to have plans, and (of course) my loved ones. 💚

Today was a really good day for a few reasons:



1). I got to do a long yoga routine this afternoon while some beautiful sunlight lit up my living room! I am always in a completely better mood during the day if I'm able to do even the smallest yoga session!

2). I got a brand new crockpot, which is so much nicer than my old, small, and dinky one. I tried my hand at making chili for the first time ever and it turned out so yummy! Mike absolutely loved it, too. :) Plus! We have a lot of leftovers to heat up over the next few days!!



3). Since I now have two crockpots, I can make healthy snack options or side dishes alongside my main meal in my little pot! I made some Asian chicken, which can be used for some tasty lettuce wraps!
