So we've been trying to hold off posting full photos of any rooms in our house until the entire place is done, however we just had to show you guys our art room! We just finished it tonight and it turned out amazing! I'm already in love. I plan to spend so much time in here working on projects, sketches, homework, etc etc!

We had a yummy dinner tonight with Mike's parents, followed by driving out to get dessert at Andy’s. 🍕🍨 Then we made an impulsive decision to go bowling & also ended up playing some fun arcade games! 🎳🎮

Later on, we ended up getting hired last minute by Aunt Mary to make a Minnie Mouse cake & cupcakes for a little girl’s birthday party tomorrow morning! 🎂🎀 We stayed up ‘til basically 3AM baking!! 😱

The cupcakes were "Hidden Minnie" cupcakes (just like the Mickey version I made for Mike last year!).

The sweet little girl, Mallory, loved all her desserts! And her mother was so thankful. :) Here's a few adorable photos Mary sent us from the party (which was the next day):

We went and saw Avengers: Infinity War tonight! Wore my very best Spidey-inspired attire. ❤️💙🕷 Totally geeked out. 🤓 Possibly cried a little (okay, a lot). 😭

It’s been way too long since my last cut. 🙄 Thankful for an extra wonderful, very talented stylist (Haley) who always leaves my hair feeling healthy & fresh! ♥️💇🏽‍♀️

OH! And do you see that lovely green wall in the background?? Tony and Ernesto came over today and painted our entire downstairs living room/hallway wall! :) Later in the evening, Mike installed our new washer and dryer! He also made the laundry room look all pretty for me by painting the walls, installing some of the extra flooring we had from downstairs, and adding a big sturdy shelf! I was so very thankful!!

On the way to school this afternoon I was rear-ended by a woman who was on her phone and didn't stop in time for traffic. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. I can't really say the same for my poor car, though. :(

We made a LOT of progress with unpacking this weekend! All that is left is what you can see here, plus our kitchen stuff (dishes, etc). Mike also installed shelves in the art room's closet, so we now have a place to store our billions of movies and video games! :)

Since we saved so much money on our fridge and dishwasher, we decided to buy a brand new oven. As many of you know we are big bakers, so a convection oven was definitely something we wanted. We ended up buying this beautiful stainless steel convection gas oven for a great price! Mike was super happy because it has five burners (instead of the standard four), as well as a removable skillet piece! It's being delivered on Thursday; we can't wait to start putting it to good use. :)

So I've been doing a semi-good job of keeping ya'll updated on our progress, but I think I missed a few things here and there so I wanted to make one big post to clarify where we stand so far! :)

Here's what is done:

• All of the flooring is 100% cleaned and installed on both levels.
• The upstairs is 100% painted, aside from the multi-level wall that stretched from the first floor to the second floor (Tony and Ernesto are coming sometime soon to paint that for us!).
• The master bathroom is completely finished.
• The master bedroom closet is 100% done.
• The bedroom is nearing completion (there's just a lot of this and that scattered about right now in there).
• The bedroom's annex is almost done.
• The upstairs master bedroom is completely done, minus a shower curtain which I need to run out and buy.
• The art room is steadily making progress.
• The loft is 100% complete.
• The downstairs bathroom is finished.

On our to-do list we have:

• The kitchen remodel (repainting the cabinets, new granite, and installing the island).
• Painting the downstairs living room, kitchen, and dining room.
• Finishing the living room / finding a new couch (and possibly a new TV?).
• Finishing the dining room / finding a new table and chairs.
• Unpacking the remaining boxes (see photo).

 Today we said goodbye to Apartment 210. 

Although it might not seem like anything too special to an outsider, to us it was. This place was our very first home together. We laughed, cried, and grew together here. This is the place we were living when Mike asked me to marry him. This was the place I came home to every day after a long day of work. This was where we sat by our big windows watching the rain, and where we cuddled up together on the couch during that cold winter last year. We spent many evenings taking walks together around the complex, always making our way down to the beautiful pond each time. We've had many people over, from my family to our friends. We decorated and made that space into our home. Although we have an insanely beautiful and large house that we are now moving into, my heart still aches as we say goodbye to what always will be our first home together. Thank you, Windsor Lakes, for all the fond memories.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out this weekend to help us repaint our apartment!! (That means you: Jax, Mitch, Tommy, Taco, Josh, & mom!) You all seriously are so sweet!! It was such a big help!

Two mini updates:

• Mom painted the rest of the master bathroom ceiling, as well as all the walls!
• Tommy, Jax, and Mitch came to help Mike move the last of the things from the apartment (aka the big furniture like our couch, bed, and dresser). They also helped to carry it all into the house and up the stairs to the loft/bedroom!

Mom came over two days ago and painted one coat in the upstairs guest bathroom. Today she came back while Mike and I were at work/school and painted the second coat, plus half of the ceiling in our master bathroom! After we got home, we headed to the apartment and brought over almost all of the remaining things left there. There's now only a handful of things left to grab, but otherwise we are basically all moved over! :)

Happy Easter!! 🐰

Spent the day with all my favorite people! Mike & I met up with my dad and the boys (mom had work) for mass at our church nice and early! Afterward, we hurried over to IBC for church with the Donelson's!

After church we headed back to Mike Sr & Laura's for Easter dinner and the annual egg hunt! Jodi, Charlotte's roommate from PCC, was visiting and took photos of everyone with her nice camera!

We got Peter an Easter basket as per the usual...he loved all his candy! :)

We stopped by my parent's house on the way to my aunt's house to say hi to the puppies!

We then continued on to my Auntie Jan's for Easter celebrations with my extended family! I always love seeing my family (especially my adorable baby cousins)!

Since my amazing dad was promoted to CAPTAIN this weekend (!! 😱) we celebrated his fantastic achievement with everyone this evening at Easter dinner too! 🤗💖 My aunt even made him an awesome cake!!
