September 22nd, 2017

I prepared a lovely spread of food for dinner today that hit all the food groups (well, minus fruit I suppose ;P). Mike came home from work super grateful to see such a yummy variety! It makes me so happy to do things like this for him. :)

After we had eaten we decided to make use of the nice weather (95 degrees on the first day of fall?!) and go mini golfing! We've been to several of the places in the area many times...and honestly, we really wanted to try something new. I looked up some places and noticed one name on the list that I actually already knew: PGN Jumping Fun! I hadn't been there since I was in first grade, so the thought of heading back sounded fun! Plus, the place looked cool in general. So we set out!

The course was better than we could've ever imagined. Huge! Two different courses. Very challenging! And so much fun. :) Mike beat me the first game and I beat him the second. It wasn't crowded at all so we got to take our time and never had to wait. We loved the place so much we promised one another we'd come back real soon. I was so glad we decided to venture out and try someplace new!

One of the things I love most about Mike and I is how we still always try to do sweet, romantic things for one another on a daily basis. He snuck these cute, little notes into my backpack last night for me to find this morning. :)

Today was the last day for the Dinos & Dragons exhibit at Brookfield Zoo! Not wanting to miss it, Mike and I planned a fun day at the zoo today! The exhibit wasn't anything fancy, but it was still really cool. You know me - I love anything to do with dinosaurs. :) We had fun taking photos and checking out all the animatronic dinosaurs and dragons.

It turned out to be a perfect day to go to the zoo in general! The weather was gorgeous...though, Mike complained it was too hot. ;) For it being the last day of the exhibit and a weekend, it was not crowded at all. And a ton of animals were out and about, even despite the heat! It turned out to be a really wonderful day.

September 16th, 2017

The Donelson's (and Marsceau's!) are holding a huge garage sale that started on Thursday and ends today. Mike and I were free this morning and afternoon, so we offered to come over and help run it. Plus, Mike had some stuff he was selling as well. We got there at 7AM and started to help set up tables and put out furniture. After about an hour, Michael, Mike (Sr.), and I headed to the shop/Marsceau's house where we met Chris. The guys loaded up the vans with more furniture and appliances that we wanted to sell. After everything was all loaded up, we headed back.

Once everything was all set up and organized, we all finally got to relax and sit back while people browsed the items and bought things. My favorite little munchkin was there, so he and I had a lot of fun playing together! He had all of his chalk laying on the sidewalk, so we started to draw together. Well, more accurately, I drew the things he told me to, lol. I drew some flowers (he wanted a "black flower with white leaves") as well as a happy sun. Then I drew a little doodle of Peter, which he grinned at all big and yelled, "That's me!" We played ball and looked at bugs and flowers together. It was such a nice time. :)

At one point, he sat down on the porch stoop and said, "Jordan, come sit by me!" I smiled and of course went and did so. However, apparently I wasn't close enough for his liking because he said, "Sit by me!" I kept moving over until I was right next to the little kiddo. He then nodded and said, "Uncle Mike is gonna come sit with us too, just in a minute." It was too adorable!Eventually Uncle Mike did not come, so Peter went to go investigate. But then he got distracted by a ball...lol. ;)
