A forever tribute for our most precious baby girl. 💗 We will carry you with us always, gladly displaying your name for all to see. You are always, always on our minds & in our hearts. We couldn’t be more proud to be your parents. ♥️

I’ve been a fan of Bill for around five years now and have always especially adored his watercolor tattoos. I actually always said my first tattoo would be one of his watercolor creations, and today I got to make that a reality. I am so in love with this beautiful tribute to our sweet girl, and so thankful to forever have a piece of her with me always. Bill, thank you so much for your kindness and care and compassion—we will be forever grateful for these stunning tattoos! 💕

My tattoo includes January’s two flowers: a snowdrop and a carnation. And these two flowers honestly couldn’t be any more fitting! According to Christian legend, the first pink carnation on Earth grew from Mary’s tears when she wept for Jesus as he carried his cross. Therefore, a pink carnation symbolizes a mother’s unyielding love. Meanwhile, the snowdrop—often one of the first flowers to poke through the snow in late winter—signifies hope and beauty. According to another Christian story, an angel turned snowflakes into snowdrops and gave them to Adam and Eve as a sign of hope after their banishment from the Garden of Eden. 🌸🤍

Today's 2/2/22 and Mitch also turned 22 today which is pretty dang awesome. We enjoyed a night with the fam celebrating my brother and playing our newest favorite game: Mysterium.

Charlotte moved into her new condo this past Tuesday, so tonight the whole family came over for a pizza/game night! The Marsceau's (minus Chris) are in town, so we got to visit with them too!

Afterwards we picked up the dogs (who were hanging out with their cousins at my parents') and went home for some snugglin' and movie-watchin'. :)

Carrying a baby in an absolutely crazy journey that totally changes a woman's body. While healing physically (and mentally & emotionally), I've been working hard each day to get back to where I was before all the weight gain, swelling, water retaining, etc etc.

Despite everything I've been through, I'm so so beyond proud of this woman, this badass mother who conquered labor & birth like a champ, who avidly works to heal & recover during postpatrum (while also working to get back to that pre-pregnancy body), and who continues to find things to smile about each day.
