Nessie went to the groomers & Dad had work, so it was Mom + Ryder snuggle time this AM!
Later in the afternoon, this arrived:
Our sweet nurse, who helped to deliver Avery and cared for us for the majority of our stay at the hospital, had this beautiful plate made for us and our precious angel.
Mamies Poppy Plate was founded by a woman named Sarah who lost her first child in 2009 at 37.5 weeks. These special plates are created in Little Rock and delivered to families across the country who have lost a child. The plates are completely free to the grieving parents through generous donations made by others.
I will forever be indebted to Alina and all of her incredible compassion and warmth—which still shines through clearly to this day. I know I’ve said it before, but we truly would not have gotten through that day without her. I’m so thankful we are still able to keep in touch with her, too! I hope one day when we have more beautiful babies that we might be lucky enough to have her there for us again to help deliver them as well. ♥️
