A lovely night at the Donelson's! We had a yummy dinner, followed by some playtime with Peter, followed by a movie night watching Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb! :)

I gave Peter my old keyboard and he repeatedly loves to play the same default song that came programed in. It's slowly driving the family nuts, lol. Sorry guys!

But hey, aside from that...maybe this will help take him one step closer to becoming the next Beethoven. ;)

Tonight was the Luke Bryan concert!

He preformed alongside Dustin Lynch and Little Big Town for his Kill The Lights Tour at Wrigley Field!

As per the usual, it was another spectacular performance. Luke always delivers. :)

I always love when Luke sings his song Drink A Beer and the whole crowd pulls out their cellphones. It's like a stadium full of stars!!

We got to stay in a hecka fancy hotel after the concert, courtesy of my dad and his job perks. :) Here's the beautiful room and view!

Thursday night (dinosaur) drawing session! :)

Here are the finished products!

I drew a Brachiosaurus, which is my favorite dinosaur. :) I used colored pencils and I'm a bit rusty, so the shading is pretty lousy. Nonetheless! It was fun to do and good practice.

Michael drew a Stegosaurus! He used just plain pencil and this was his first time ever attempting to draw a dino! And I think he did pretty great, if I do say so myself. ;)

Today we headed up to Springfield for the Illinois State Fair to see Dierks Bentley preform his Somewhere On A Beach Tour! Before the concert we enjoyed the afternoon together at the fair. I especially loved the skylight that carried us above the entire place!

The concert was so much fun! Dierks gave an amazing performance! I loved hearing him sing my current favorite song: It's Different For Girls. :) And thanks to my dad, we had VIP seating!!

So management is getting a little more strict with enforcing wearing an earpiece along with your walkie while working on the floor. As I was working my closing shift last night, I realized about 5 hours in that my left earring (same ear that had that dumb earpiece) had fallen out at some point! I instantly started searching every inch of my department and then some, determined to track it down.

After checking every last possible place, I sadly admitted to myself that the earring was long gone. This was extremely upsetting to me, because this set of earrings Michael had bought for me during his trip to Puerto Rico. Aka, they were essentially irreplaceable. But then, with only an hour left in my shift, suddenly I felt something when I brushed against my front left shirt pocket. Sure enough, there it was! Luck and good fortune truly must've been on my side last night. ☺️🌻✨

So today at work I had to deal with: 3 power losses (due to the scorching heat), working (nervously) alongside the board director on a project, attempting to train another woman from another office who's doctor is retiring (a woman who doesn't understand the system...at all), and trying to figure out last minute insurance issues for a surgery scheduled (tomorrow). And then I came home, knowing I had to assemble the shelving cabinet sitting in my garage.

And you know what? After 2 hours of building (while watching episodes of The Office), I can honestly say that I've never had more fun doing something as tedious as assembling IKEA furniture. But I suppose that shouldn't surprise me, because even the most boring or tiresome tasks become a fun activity as long as I'm alongside my sweetheart. ☺️🔨💕

Michael Richard is my walking definition of "extraordinary". He impresses and amazes me on a daily basis with all of his many talents. Whether it be creating beautiful new pieces in people's homes, designing something fabulous with his creative genius, proving he will always be the most superior person I know in the speaking/people skills department, showing endless amounts of love and compassion for others, and so many more. He's my superhero, my Prince Charming, my knight in shining armor...he's my everything, to put it lightly. 😘

And I mean I know that none of us on this Earth are "perfect"...but how many people do you know that can freehand a circle that perfectly? ;)

 Happy 3rd Birthday to my adorable little cousin Aria!! :) 

The party's theme was The Little Mermaid, so of course my amazingly talented aunt created some gorgeous treats to fit said theme. I hope I can be as awesome of a baker as she is one day!!
