Happy National Girlfriend Day!! 💗
This morning we had to head downtown for Mike's orientation at Columbia. It was a boring morning, as expected, but we luckily got out of there after about three hours. It was only noon, so Mike said we should take advantage of being downtown. So we headed to Navy Pier.
Today is National Girlfriend Day, and Mike said he wanted to treat me to a fun afternoon! :) We arrived at Navy Pier and simply enjoyed strolling around and checking everything out. We did the mirror maze, which was corny but always fun. We also got Garret's Popcorn (of course!) and cinnamon roasted nuts. Mike hurried us over to the rides where he bought us both tickets for the carousel. "No better way to celebrate National Girlfriend Day than to get my lady on a carousel!" he had said. :)

We had yummy pizza for lunch before heading home. We happily spent the rest of the evening together, watching our favorite shows and enjoying one another's company. We had a really lovely devotional reading together in the evening that left me feeling all kinds of wonderful. It was such a special day. I am so lucky to have such a sweet boyfriend who celebrates "holidays" like this with me.
