So this year for Mike's birthday I decided to push my cake-baking skills to their limit and try something a little more tricky. As many of you know, my boyfriend is a pretty big fan of his Subaru. So I decided to try to create his favorite BBS wheels in cake form!
To most of you this probably looks like like a messy, sad attempt at a birthday cake. However, as a gal who's never made a "real" cake before (or used fondant, for that matter), I think I did pretty good for my first try! I'll stick to my pastries for now...but I'll keep working on my cake-making skills.
