Mike and I's cake baking skills must be becoming somewhat decent, because we were hired to make a cake for someone! My dad's friend from work has a birthday coming up, and his wife is throwing him a surprise party. My mom showed her some of the cakes we've made in the past and she instantly insisted we had to make one for her husband, Shawn, too!
So tonight we started making the cake! It was a really great night overall. The cake was baked and covered in fondant, ready to be decorated tomorrow afternoon. We had a blast baking together, as usual. In addition, my dad and two brothers were hanging around the kitchen with us, cracking jokes and keeping us company. It was a really nice time overall. :)
